Excavation for pools is a job best handled by an experienced backhoe operator. Typically, the side excavation extends approximately two feet beyond the finished pool perimeter to accommodate both the pool assembly and the necessary concrete footing installation, which are essential stages of pool construction. Additionally, this preparation is crucial for a successful pool liner installation and for the subsequent decking installation.

The second step in the pool construction process involves the assembly of the pool panels. This includes the installation of the pool liner, stairs, coping receptor, skimmer, and inlets, along with the necessary suction and return plumbing. This stage is crucial for ensuring that everything is in place before moving on to the decking installation and final touches.

The next step in the pool construction process is decking installation. However, in certain cases and depending on specific water table situations, the pool liner installation may occur before the decking is poured. The pool structure is robust enough to support the assembly process in either manner.

In this photo, we see the pool liner installation is underway. The liner will be snapped into the track, and a pool vac will pull the liner down into the pool during the pool assembly phase. Water will then start filling the pool to ensure the liner has the best fit possible, an essential step in the stages of pool construction. Prior to this, proper excavation for pools must be completed, along with the decking installation to enhance the overall design.

While the pool is filling, the stages of pool construction will progress with the equipment set up and plumbing completed.
